Smile Aviation, is a non profit organisation, with the aim of raising funds for children who are either in hospital, have other serious illnesses which mean they have to spend time in hospital or have special needs. We started in 2001 by raising funds to Fly Father Christmas in to our local hospital by Helicopter on Christmas Day to deliver presents to the children who where unable to be at home with their families. After the success of this venture and the experience of seeing the smile on the childrens faces, we have endeavoured to continue with the fundraising and will this year once again be visiting our local Hospital on Christmas Day to deliver presents. The Crew all give up their time to help with this worthwhile cause, and all are in someway linked to the Aviation Industry, mostly of Ground Crew who have spent a number of years working with various types of Aircraft.
