Hi
All three engines are good you just need to decide on the best for you. Let’s start with the Weber good price, good build quality, good power and you can run it on low nitro fuels. OS some may say the best but you pay for it and they like higher nitro fuels. TT cheap but if run in well will last long, they seem to run on all fuels but like about 10% to 15%.
Basically you pays the money, you know the rest. Others to consider are Irvine, West Eurotech and Rossi. My personal favourite in the 60 class is the Rossi runs on 0% or 5% nitro and produces so much power. If the Rossi 53 works as well it would be a power house. Good luck and let us know what you got. _________________ Alex |

| I've literally just ordered a raptor 50 with webra 52 engine because of the low fuel consumption and low nitro requirements, should make it about half the cost in fuel needed over the os 50 sxh it looks like |

| Had 2 52AARs in Raptor 50s and toasted them both. Robbe weren't v helpful so gave up on them and use a OS 50 now - seems quieter and just as powerful. I used a hatori 50 pipe for a while but then went onto a weston 50 Genisis one piece exhaust. Once that gave up the ghost I bored out a TT 60 silencer and have used that for the last year - works fine. Good luck with the 52 but be really careful not to run it lean. |

Thanks Fubar, i will be carufull with the mixture when i get it, do you think its worth me getting a quickuk cooling fan right from the start ? because i have heard from some people that they push more air than the stoc plastic one?,
Which exhaust do you think would be best on the Webra?, i am mainly looking to keep noise to a minimum but keep a respectable amount of power? |

with the v1 50s it was a good idea to get the quk fan but the v2 has an extended shroud - that may be sufficient. Unfortunately I'm always wanting more POWERRRR so not well qualified to comment on silencing - the modified 60 silencers seem pretty good though.
I use a GV1 to control the revs otherwise you had to limit the throttle curve to ~80% and then use throttle mixing on cyclics when you needed more power. |

My heli arrive this morning from Cyberheli, got stung for £28 customs again !!, they seem to get me every time but i'm happy cos i still saved loads over buying in the UK, and i ordered the QuickUK fan for my rap50v2 anyway and that turned up this morning about 10 minutes after my heli,
Now all the fun begins cos i've got to build it all and get it setup properly which looks like it will take ages cos there's so many bits in the box! |
