Hi Jock
As I am not a member of any club , and so far have only flown myself either in my back garden or isolated locations , I have not had any insurance . Do I have to join a club to get it ? or can you suggest a company who deals with this type of insurance .Must admit I never thought about it until I saw your latest posting for the Heli-day at Cumbernauld |

CT join the SAA as a country member for £26 and that gives you your cover.
Its always a good idea to get some insurance as you never know what can happen.
For instance you where flying in your back garden and a cell in the receiver battery went faulty and caused your heli to totally lose control and crash into your neighbors car or worst hits some one. |

Thanks Jock , I have had a look at thier site and membership has to be done through the post so hopefully it can be arranged for Sunday . The Bell 47 has had it`s maiden flight ( mostly in the hover ) and is exceptionally stable so I hope to bring it and my Bergen or X-cell gasser and see if I can get some expert help in setting them up .
Cheers

Sorry, I cant really help, I'm not involved with the SAA this year. Perhaps some of the Heli Flying council members will be at the event, or even reading this.
Shouldn't be hard for them to quickly sort out insurance and an SAA card? |
