Hi

Does anyone know of a outlet that stocks 50CM blades. I have an old SX that uses these short blades, and its proving to be a bit of a task sourcing spares blades.

I've been told by fitting the SR blade grips I can move on to the 52CM's which are mostly still available, but I'd prefer to keep a set of 50's spare if pos.

The problem is that although most of the shops advertise the blades on the web, none of them actually stock them. Although I've been given another solution by alansmodels, which is to replace the blade grips which allows the use of 52CM blades.

Sorry to hear about your problems. If that’s an easy solution and there is no problem with the tail blades that may be your best option. As 520's are far easier to get it will save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

Hope you get it sorted. If all else fails you could just buy another heli Twisted Evil

Hi Alex

I actually have two Heli's.

The other is a Raptor 30 with just about every alloy part that quick Uk has produced, Gv-1, digital servo's etc etc etc, but since I was still learning it was puting me of going into forward flight for fear of an expensive mistake.

So I bought this SX 30 complete with radio gear and engine for next to nothing. Since I didn't have the fear of an expensive crash I mastered forward flight and moved into circuits over a couple of weekends. But I'd still like to keep the SX going so that before the summer comes along I can keep using the SX to lessen the chance of a mishap with the raptor.
I still have a set of 50CM blades, but a set of spares might come in handy.

And compared with the raptor, the SX 30 certainly learns you all about a high maintenance machine. The Raptor hardly gets any oil up into the airframe, but the SX is a greasy oily mess:-))))

Laughing Laughing Laughing That’s a laugh I’m just thinking about buying a cheap raptor to push on my aerobatics and save my Vario Kobold. They must be the cheapest heli to repair
