been trying to setup my radio SANWA RD6000 to get proper headspeed as the heli does not want to go to the right(left no probs)tail end is setup right.there is plenty movement on tail blades for right.but everytime I give it full right rudder it wont go. heli-raptor 30v1
radio-sanwa rd6000
servos -sanwa
gyro-gwsPG-03
ENGINE -thunder tiger 39pro
all blades are well balanced and tracking is 100%
anyone got same combo out there tell me please-pulling my hair out |

Hi, I have read that the tail drive belt can cause problems if it is stretched/worn, or isn't twisted correctly. Not having a raptor 30 myself, you may have to strip the tail/boom down to check this?
As for throttle settings, just make sure with the trim fully down, that the throttle travels from fully closed at bottom stick, too fully open at top stick.
Adjust servo arm and ball links to achive this. This will give you a good enough throttle setting to get you hovering, you can mess about with curves later.
Hope this is of some help

try this
Rotate the Head (by hand engine off)in its normal direction and the tail rotor blades should spin anti clockwise (turn up into the downwash)
Run the raptor up to just below hovering speed on concrete or tarmac
Give some right rudder if nothing happens either your servo or gyro (or both) are not strong enough to handle the Raptor tail
As Alex has already said the Gyro is used for smaller electric heli's and I also have my doubts as to wether it will work on a Raptor

| all sorted there wasnt enough headspeed to turn it .Ive now set it all up including radio and its going right nobother now, there was to much pitch in the main blades aswell.do you think a headholding gyro would be better for learning to hover |

Easier yes
Better ?????
Well that will depend a lot on you're style of flying. If you're going the 3D,FAI route then yes.
If you plan on going the scale route thats a whole different ball of bees wax.
Some people don't like to use a HH gyro as they say it doesn't make the Scale heli look the same when turning ( it doesn't weathervane)
I personally use a HH gyro and I've assigned it to a switch so i can fly it in both HH and normal mode depending on wind conditions
Have you got anybody local to you to help you with the setup of you're heli??
