Hi all, just signed up to rotorwash having been using runryder for a while. Anyone else up in "SUNNY" Shetland??
Reason I ask is i have been asked to help organise the heli part of a display for the aniversary of Sumburgh Airport. The LMA are coming up with a load of large WWII Scale models, and some helis doing mad stunts would be a real crowd pleaser. It isnt till 2006, but what with booking ferries etc need to start thinking about it.
Anyone interested? Or anyone up here interested in creating a model club?
HOPEFULLY someone will reply, it isnt THAT far from civilisation up here.

Hi Bigglesbutler,
I was up in Shetland last December on Scottish Water business and had a great time (Although I also managed to fit in some work. ) and promised myself I would to come back for a proper holiday. One thing for sure, I am amazed at the amount of alcohol you Shetlanders went through during my short visit.
When in 2006 is the event planned. I would not be interestewd in taking part but would be very keen on coming up for the event.
This would be my ideal holiday, not a lot of shops for the better half to visit and a models aircraft show thrown in for good measure.
I would thoroughly recommend a visiit to the most northerly part of the UK.
