Can anyone recommend a good mid range 60 or 90. My budget will stretch to around £600 for just the boxed kit. Would love to know what your opinions are so come on and tell me what are the most popular and best built copters in this price range. I also love the Gracy type fuselages you see on them World 3D copters. Do Gracy's fit any copter or do most manufacturers offer this type of fuselage?? Laughing

Unfortunately it depends what you want to do - for aerobatics & 3d, most common helis in Scotland are Raptor 60/90s or X-Cell Furies. The Fury is stunning to fly, very precise but expensive to crash and benefits from expensive gyros, servos etc. R60/90 is not as accurate but still very good. The Hirobo Freya looks good value now but I haven't seen any up here. Don't know about scale or FAI helis in Scotland.

Furies kits are available from Ricks for $860 for an Extreme v $450 for an R60 from heli-kraft before tax (if you end up being charged it)

Where do you fly? Guys at Aberdeen, Falkirk & Clyde Vew fly a range of helis if you want more direct feedback.

Cheers Fubar, Yes the Freya does look very good indeed, Especially the Eagle 2 pro models though we are then talking serious money.
Have been told that the Raptor mechanics are a bit fragile which i can't seem to understand, thought all mechanics were roughly the same not to mention upgradable!!! Rolling Eyes

The original R60 V1 had known problems (tail gears, elevator links etc) but these were sorted with v2. The chat boards are almost silent on R60s now though as they are pretty bombproof (see Runryder.com). I've had no problems (other than frequent pilot errors) but am thinking of putting a 90 back in the R60 for more power again. If you are a 'careful' flyer, get a Fury 60 or 90 (stunning heli) otherwise thrash the ground with a Raptor?

Yeah Fubar the Xcell fury is pretty damn impressive in looks alone, Century's pro max 90 looks tempting too. The raptor 30 has that tigershark fuselage, Can you get them for the r 60 or 90 as well??
Also is the Fury just a better made copter than the disposable Raptors?[/b]
