Hi Folks
Newbie here , I have a nexus 30 s ready to be checked over and hopefully see fly ( theres no way i am ready to attempt it , i am crap on the simulator) and am building up a raptor 30 v 2 ( slowly). I am looking for a club with a decent amount of interest and support for helli,s. I am based in Galashiels, closest club seems to be Bonchester Model Flying Club, not a lot of heli,s though. Any suggestions, willing to travel, good training and fun atmosphere more important than distance. most of the websites of the clubs dont tell you how much heli interest there is.

Thanks in advance

Hi Gypsydog,

There are 4 of us flying Heli's in Galashiels. We are flying Raptor 30 V1's and Raptor 60's. I am also trying to fly a scale Agusta A109. We are all members of the Bonchester club but we have a flying site just outside Gala that we tend to use. If you need advice or setup help? send me a e-mail.

A Big Thankyou to Richard and Alan for checking and Setting up the nexus , I could never have done it without you both, it was great to see it in the air, Now the hard work starts for me , trying to master the hover, it always looks so easy when someone else is doing it, I presume its just a case of practice, practice practice with a touch of confidence thown in. well thanks again and see ya soon

    Hi Graham,

The Augusta is much better in the hover, quite stable. I have still to get enough nerve to go for a circuit. How did you overcome the fear of flying £ signs around?
I am just hovering from left to right and back again. The engine is very hot to touch after landing though.

How's your Tiger going? Are you flying it like the model in the Vario Video?

I'm not sure if I'll make the Falkirk day yet.

    Hi Richard,

the tiger is in the hanger getting some scale goodies added Laughing , to get over the fear you just say to your self "iam rich and if i crash it it doesnt matter" although in reality it doesnt work like that.
