Ok time to put my money where my mouth is then.

As much from self interest as I need to find someplace to fly apart from my garden that does not involve a 1 hour drive each way, I want to try to start a friendly, open and relaxed club for Heli's in Glenrothes.

So apart from finding and obtaining permission to fly on a suitable site and making sure all members have insurance, Is there anything else I need to know?

If anyone is interested joining then email me please at dashik@blueyonder.co.uk

Oh and for the regionally challenged Glenrothes is in Central Fife, thats Scotland. Wink

Hi Dashik,

Sounds like a plan, whether it's an actual club or possibly a flying area to start with sounds good.

I've dropped you an email at your blueyounder account with some info.

Cheers,

Graeme.

Hi Graeme, I've sent you a reply.

I dont care if its not much more than a patch to fly in and 2 or 3 people.

Obviously if we can get 5 or 10 then so much the better but at the moment i'll stick my hand up and admit its as much self interest for my benifit so that I can go fly locally as anything else. Still who know, Kirkcaldy managed a club about 10 years ago so it might develop into a reasonable size.

Regards

James

Hi Dashik,

I'll email you to confirm, but I'm interested in meeting others and flying. Just as soon as I actually get my heli up-and-running.

Does anyone know what's responsible for organising a flying area?

Cheers,
Gary.
