Hi gorillazus,
Most people use cool power fuel nowadays, it is avaliable fgrom most model shops but for the best prices you need to purchase 4 gallons and have it sent mail order, if thats a bit much for starting out your local model shop will have it, use 10% nitro to start with. If you want to get 4 gallons try the shops below,
http://www.skylinemodels.co.uk
http://www.midlandhelicopters.co.uk
hope this helps

I always use a fuel with some caster in it for the first gallon then depending on the engine ether run some more caster or change to a fully synthetic oil based fuel. If this is your first heli then you don’t need much more than 5% once you need more power then spend more money on fuel with higher nitro. What engine have you got? _________________ Alex |

A TT50 will be fine with just a gallon of caster thorough it, just remember to keep it on the rich side when setting up. _________________ Alex |

Just to let you guys know, have cancelled the order of coolpower,as it was going to cost me £17.50 to get it delivered up to me,they say its to do with the couier.
Have now ordered wildcat helie mix, which is a £1 less a gallon and only £4 delivered, hopefully they wont phone tomorrow to tell me about extra delivery charges! will have to wait and see if they deliver for the price quoted.
Has anyone else had this problem with fuel delivery???,or does the world end after Aberdeen! |

Hi gorillazus,
We tried the wildcat our club and were not really that impressed, you will have to change all your engine settings and probably need to change plugs as well as it seems to be a bit odd. We eventually gave up and went back to coolpower but i know what you mean about the price.
sorry

Hi Gorillazus,
Have used Wildcat fuel before with no problems myself,i find that coolpwer isnt any better,it just happens to be the most widely available, and the most advertised. With the current problems with supply of coolpower,a lot of flyers have changed to Wildcat.

Hi Guys,
We read your comments on the fuel. We have converted some guys recently at the LMAC club to wildcat with great results. Also engine problems with OS50s appear to have gone using the wildcat 15% although its only been used for a couple of months so approx 60 flights.
ultimatehelicopters.co.uk offer mail order wild cat for £6.00 which is included in the fuel price. |

Hi LC
Is LMAC Leicester Model Aero Club? why don't you drive to LHC the Importers of Wildcat and pick it up direct, also for delivery they only charge £4.70.
the list prices are
0%12.70
5% £13.15
10% £14.24
15% £15.95
20% £20.67
30% £22.59
As a reseller for wildcat I will deliver to your flying site if it’s in central Scotland _________________ Alex |
