Lets get this forum started
So else likes and builds scaler's ??????
I've got a Century Augusta 109A with Hawk mechanics which is looking a bit the worse for wear (It gets quite a lot of stick)
And a Century Seaking build in progress (Pics in my Gallery)
I also plan on scratch building a fuselage for my Predator Gasser
but I still can't make my mind up which heli to do

What do you want me to shout Roger ??? Scale is the only way???
For people who dont know I am into scale big time I am just finishing off a 1:6.5 scale A-star and I am starting my rebuild of my scratch built Chinook.
In the past I have built a twin star, EC135 and a jet ranger |

Not building anything at the moment but previously built an R22, A109A and a eurocopter tiger, only own the tiger now which has a knacked engine but it will fly again.

LOL Alex I was wondering when others were going to chime in as well..
Don't get the bits untill Tuesday As Century UK decided to post them out without Putting my house Number on the Package and the courier decided he wasn't going to knock any of the 12 houses on my street LOL..
Still it gave me some time to work on the Seaking
The OS70 I've got fitted in it has started playing up now It keeps cutting out at 1/4 throttle But I'll have a play with that when i meet up with Mike(Tecmic) on Wed morn
Graham and Mike
Both really good looking Heli's

Hey Alex that EC135 looks very familiar!!
I've just removed the mechanics and fenestron etc for a total refurb. I think the Rossi is getting a little tired now.
Also I'm rebuilding my Century R22 after mother earth decided to give it a damn good clout!
It's still a mystery what caused it to crash. It was 1st flight of the day, got her up into a hover and checked left and right rudder control then as I moved her off into forward flight it immediately went into quite a slow pirouette and by the time I could react it hit the ground hard. All the servos (DS811) and gyro (JR G490) were working O.K and the flight pack fully charged. I sent the gyro and tail servo (810G) to MacGregor and they passed inspection. I'm baffled, anybody got any ideas?
I have a giant Vario R22 and haven't flown it yet as I don't have a vehicle big enough to transport it!
My Graupner Agusta 109 is still not finished, and now I'm toying with the idea of stuffing my Xcell 60 in a Jetranger fus I have knocking around.
This scale lark keeps me busy. If only we could have some decent flying weather for a change.
Barry. |

I have squeezed an old shuttle z/zx/zts mish mash with an irvine 39 into a kyosho bell 222, it seems to fly pretty well and the retracts look pretty cool. Mind you it is an absolute pain to have to do any maintenance on it!
Been offered an old Morley hughes 300 found in a loft by my boss for peanuts so may take that off him for a laugh. Dont know what state its in but ill have a go at restoring it anyway. Will probably have to improvise with spare parts as im sure you cant get morley bits anywhere these days? |
