3D Swashplate movement? How much is OK? I have heard two differing opinions on this
No1 is you move your collective full both +/- And make sure you get no binding at any possible stick position ie. move the cyclic ail/elev stick to the corners (diagonally)
No2 is you move your collective full both +/- as above, except you move the cyclic stick only horizontally & vertically as you would not actually mix these extremes when flying??
Is there a definitive answer ? |

Hi BArney,
I dont fly 3d but i would have to say go with number 1, for someone to say you wouldnt reach the extremes the other way is a bit scary cause what happens if you make a mistake and you need to. sorry not much help but nobody else was replying.

|
|
Found out the problem with the premature binding. I have a Rap 60V1 with original washout links..which I have just replaced as recomended by everyone because of a potential fault concerning the type of plastic (brittle)
The original washout link at the ball link end is box section & it is this part that was binding against the inner ball on swash making for a very soft roll rate etc..
The replacement link has a round profile at the ball end with improved clearance...problem solved... |
