is it normal for the servos to move slightly continousleywhen everything is connected up

When you first switch on the receiver(after you switch on the transmitter) the servos will twitch but then they should go still.

If you switch on the Receiver without switching on the Transmitter then yes the servos can and will twitch as the receiver is "looking" for a signal

If using digitals you will sometimes here some noise thats perfectly normal and nothing to worry about
