Hi everyone, I have recently built a nexus 30 with o.s 32 engine. Completely new to helis and not having much luck getting it to hover. When it does, it piroettes slowly. Cant seem to keep it off the ground long enough to try and trim it. I am using Hitec eclipse 7qpcm and csm 180 gyro. Wondering if any one in the Glenrothes area would consider helping me and taking a look.

hi,
try either to increase the gain or decrease depending on which way the heli rotates( mines needed upto 80%and down to 45%) then there is also the trim on the transmitter if the heli rotates left (looking at the tail but watching the nose)put in one notch right or vise versa. Best to join a club apart for being insured, also gives lots of help and ideas dont know glenrothes maybe try asking at local model shop Smile

Hi cannonfauder,
Thanks for taking the time to reply, your advice is appreciated. I didn't realise the gain could be as high as 80%, this gives me new hope. I'm currently waiting on more sticky foam for my gyro, been a bit too happy in rotating it. My local clubs seem to be more interested in planes, probably have to look further afield. I'm originally from Falkirk so may look into their club. Will try again at weekend once i buy more fuel, only got 1LTR with deal.
Thanks again for advice Very Happy

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the invitation, I will definately take you up on your offer. I am going to try again this weekend once I get more fuel. I am visiting family in Falkirk next weekend, which day would I be most likely to find people that would help?
Thanks again Alex Very Happy

I love that statement now where to get the operation to allow my eyes to operate indepenantly..................... Laughing

And to throw my tuppence in. It would be a great deal faster to just bundle the heli in ther car and drive to any assistance that can maybe overcome your issue in minutes and prevent you from getting pissed off and giving up
