Just received my copy of Airtime the newsletter of the SAA (Scottish Aeromodeller’s Association) and I can’t believe my eyes, yes I am right it is a helicopter, no there is three and there on the front cover. For a publication that’s more interested in control line and gliders than helicopters this has got to be a first.
Ripping open the pack I turn to the index to see the club scene is about Clyde View Helicopter Club. Ok turn quickly to page 8. Two more pictures of helicopters getting better and better. Now where’s the editorial turning the pages over, cant see any more, and there on page 41 is a picture of Graham Strachan. I am very pleased to see at last some mention of helicopter in this publication, but why just pictures are they frightened we will get more space than the control line boys on the next page even if only three people bothered to turn up for the control line competition?
So my question to you all is how can we get more awareness of helicopters on to airtime?
And a big congratulations to every one who got there picture in the newsletter.
