MacGregor Warning on foreign sourced PCM9XII transmitter
General News
MacGregor have examined a foreign sourced PCM9XII transmitter. This was originally a 72MHz set and has a different switch configuration and software to the MacGregor version. The model number isNET-N239FS, as marked on the front left hand switch plate.

There CE test certification will therefore not apply to these foreign sets. MacGregor sets are marked NET239ES and have a MacGregor/JR label in the centre Buyers of foreign sets are urged to seek reassurance that these sets have been fully tested before they buy and should not just rely on the fact that they have a small CE sticker inside the module recess The BMFA have informed us that their insurer could decline to defend a claim from a modeller using illegal equipment.

New Petrol Webra the 91-P5Hi
General News
A new power plant for model helicopters is the 91-P5Hi (ignition) motor, which is designed to run on petrol instead of conventional model fuel. To ensure that the 91-P5Hi has adequate structural strength for petrol operation, we were obliged to revise the Webra 91-P5 methanol motor completely; the main change being a new steel connecting rod fitted with needle roller bearings for greater mechanical strength and lower friction losses.

Revlock Governor from CSM
General News

Revlock is packed full of features that ensure the simplest possible installation & operation.
CSM have utilised a linear hall-effect magnetic sensor to achieve powerful signal sensing that is not reliant on magnet orientation.
Combine this with a sturdy mounting system & automatic signal strength test, & reliable engine speed data is achieved every single flight.
Revlock is operated remotely via any auxiliary control channel or integrally via a manually adjustable pot. Either style of operation offers fine RPM adjustment over a wide range & the target speed is visually indicated thus eliminating the need for a separate expensive tachometer.
