3DX - a new World Standard
Tuesday, August 15, 2006 @ 19:22:02 PDT by alex (2548 reads)
Events & CompetitionDXlogo

At 3D Masters 2006 Jeff Barringer, 3D Masters Contest Director, released details of 3DX, a global 3D format for 3D helicopter competition.

The standard, based on the successful 3D Masters format, will allow entrants to choose 6 Set Manoeuvres from the current set of 30 3D Masters Set Manoeuvres coupled with a Freestyle sequence. The structure also lends itself to Electric Indoor events and employs a peer-judging system at its simplest level, rising to one or more 3D Masters Judges presiding over higher-level events.

Information For Falkirk Heli day

The Heli day will go ahead tomorrow as planed starting from 10.30 there will be a £2 pilots fee on registration. Unfortunately there will be no food available on the field. The day will include testing for hovering proficiency and bronze, all wishing to be tested need to make it clear when registering and time permitting Stuart will get every one done. If your needing some advice on setting up your model or some flying advice there will be plenty of experience pilots on hand to help you. Just remember to bring your manuals if you have a technical question. There will also be a pilots choice for the best looking heli and best scale heli. For directions please read on

Heli Day at Falkirk
Tuesday, May 27, 2003 @ 23:10:51 PDT by Alex (2954 reads)
Events & CompetitionOk Guys got the go ahead for a heli day at Falkirk. Will be some time in September so the question is what do you want Fun fly, scale, aerobatics, herding the sheep, bambi bucket, training and certification or all of the above, so please let me know. We have a great field so can get a reasonable number of helicopters up at the same time. Also anyone with ideas or suggestions please let me know. Looking for ideas of numbers as well, if the turnout is respectable then it will be a regular event.

More details to follow.

TOP GUN Helicopters Cancelled
Thursday, December 05, 2002 @ 21:17:07 PST by Alex (2676 reads)
Events & Competition Due to the low number of entries and lack of cash sponsorship, they are forced to cancel the scale helicopters part of Top Gun 2003. They only had 14 paid entries in three classes after extending the entry deadline, not enough in any of them to make it worthwhile. No cash sponsors came forward except for Superchips, and projected expenses could not be met.
