part in the 11th R/C Helicopter European Championships.

DATES: 5th – 13th August 2006.

LOCATION:
Blandford is located in the beautiful North Dorset
countryside, an area of renowned beauty which is well-equipped to
welcome tourists with a vast range of accommodation, restaurants
and other attractions.

Bryanston School (Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 0PX) is located
approximately twenty-four miles southwest of Salisbury and fourteen
miles northwest of Poole. The School is situated in a 400-acre estate
with extensive playing fields. The flying site will be located within the
grounds. IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE: no dogs are allowed within
the grounds of Bryanston School.

PRACTICE SITES:
We aim to have a minimum of 3 practice sites available within a 30
minute drive of the competition site.

PARTICIPATION:
Teams and Entries.
Every FAI affiliated European National Airsport Control (NAC) may
enter a team consisting of a maximum of 3 competitors in F3C, plus
team manager, mechanics / callers and supporters. The reigning
2004 F3C European Champion is also invited to enter the
competition.

AWARDS:
FAI medals will be given to the first three individual places. FAI
medals will also be awarded to the first three teams (competitors and
manager) and all competitors will receive diplomas.

COMPETITION RULES:

According to FAI SPORTING CODE, SECTION IV, 2006 Edition, and
VOLUME F3C – RC HELICOPTERS.

Each competitor must possess a valid 2006 FAI Sporting Licence.

FAI SPECIFICATION CERTIFICATES:

Each competitor must present a correctly completed FAI Specification
Certificate for each model entered in accordance with FAI Sporting
Code, following specifications of Section 4C. 2.3.5. These certificates
must be certified and stamped by the National Airsport Control
(NAC). Models presented for registration which are not properly
processed with FAI certificates and stickers, shall be processed by the
organizers at a cost of 10 Euros each.

PROTEST FEES:

All protests must be presented in writing to the Contest Director and
must be accompanied by the deposit of a fee. The amount of this fee
shall be 35 Euros (or the equivalent in £sterling). The deposit is
returned only if the protest is upheld.

FREQUENCIES:

The full UK frequency allocation within the 35MHz Band will be
available. These are frequencies 34.950 MHz (channel 55) to 35.300
MHz (channel 90) inclusive. Each team will be allocated one
frequency for their exclusive use at the competition site and practise
fields. Frequency allocations will be made on receipt of entry fees.

ENTRY FEES:

European Championship entry fees will be set, subject to unavoidable
adjustment, at 395 Euros for each competitor and team manager,
and 75 Euros for each mechanic / caller & official supporter. Included
in the entry fee are welcoming gifts, a programme and the welcome
meal following the opening ceremony.

INSURANCE:

From January 1st 2006 you will need a European Health Insurance
Card (EHIC) to receive healthcare that becomes necessary during
your visit. Citizens from outside of the EU must provide their own
health insurance to cover illness and travel insurance.

The organizers will provide third party insurance coverage for all
pilots for model accidents involving injury to others and damage to
property. The organizers are not responsible for any other injury,
loss, theft or damage to persons or property.

ACCOMMODATION:

Official accommodation is available on-site from August 5th – 13th
inclusive only.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the unique life of a
student at a prestigious British Public (private) school. The official
on-site accommodation will be in student houses (campus-style)
within the 400 acre site. Each house has its own lounge area,
kitchenettes, work stations, bedrooms (1,2,3 & 4 bedded rooms),
showers & toilets. Please note: no more than 2 people per room will
be allocated unless requested otherwise. Although there are very few
ensuite rooms, the ratio of bathrooms to bedrooms is high. The
rooms are compact, pleasantly decorated & functional. Please note:
towels are NOT provided. What the accommodation on site may
lack in some areas, it makes up for in others…. everyone staying on
site will have access to Bryanston’s fantastic sports facilities including
squash courts & a 25 metre heated indoor swimming pool.

Any accommodation required prior to August 5th will be available in
the locality. Blandford Forum has a number of small hotels and
guesthouses. Assistance in booking such accommodation will be
given by the organisers to any teams / supporters not wishing to stay
at the official on-site accommodation for the duration of the
championships.

Camping and caravanning is also available in the locality at
