This past weekend there was the annual hobby fair held in Tokyo, Japan where R/C manufacture's meet and show their new products for the upcoming year. JR has come out with an exciting new 9 channel radio to compete with the Futaba 9C!
Features and highlights: * 9 channels; I don't know if the 9th channel is proportional or switched.
* Supports ALL 3 model types (Aero, Heli, and Glider)! Apparently, Horizon Hobby (exclusive US distributor for JR) and JR listened to modeller’s wanting a radio that supports all 3 model types.
* A HUGE graphical LCD screen that's at least twice the size of the 9C radio!
* Four edit key buttons on the left-hand side and a rotary knob on the right-hand side of the LCD screen. Although, the rotary knob looks like it turns on a horizontal axis rather than a vertical axis, like the 9C does. You program and navigate the 9X radio using the four edit keys and rotary knob.
* Aux. sliders on both sides like the 9C has with the exception the 9X sliders feature a round silver centre on the sliders, which looks more attractive.
* Digital throttle trim. Finally, JR has seen the light.
* Digital VR trim buttons!
* A grill for the beeper so you can actually hear the beeper when flying
* White tick marks for ALL four axes on the gimbals sticks like the 8103 and 10X has.
